Al Gore’s Real Colors

“Al Gore has come under fire for making personal gain from his mission to save the planet – after charging £3,300 a minute to deliver a poorly received speech,” reports the Daily Mail. “The former American Vice-President was also accused of being ‘precious’ at the London event, demanding his own VIP room and ejecting journalists, despite hopes the star-studded gathering would generate publicity for the fight against global warming.”
Imagine my surprise… It should be remembered that Al Gore is a cherished member of the global ruling elite and as such he cannot be bothered by journalists or, for that matter, celebrities.
For some it may seem incomprehensible that Gore would squander such a chance to “generate publicity for the fight against global warming,” but then the man with the big carbon footprint — Gore’s Belle Meade mansion in Tennessee is a drain on the local power grid — is not interested in saving the planet because he realizes the planet is not in danger, at least not the way he portrays it in speeches worth £3,300 a minute.
Instead, global warming is yet another control mechanism and a damn fine one because you can’t complain since the fate of the entire planet is at risk. Osama and his dour Muslim cave-dwellers pale by way of comparison.
“Many of the audience at last month’s Fortune Forum summit were restless as Mr. Gore, who has won both a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his campaigning work this year, delivered the half-hour speech that netted him £100,000.”
The glittering fundraiser was held in The Royal Courts of Justice and attracted world leaders, entrepreneurs and celebrity activists including Bob Geldof, Darryl Hannah and Jerry Hall, who was there as “a Special Ambassador of The Alliance for a New Humanity”. Guests had paid between £1,000 and £50,000 to attend.
But a source told The Mail on Sunday: “Many guests looked tired and began to talk among themselves during his speech. Heads began to twitch with tiredness.
“Al uses his position for great personal gain. He goes from event to event delivering a similar speech, earning a large fee, and a lot of the time he doesn’t actually inform the audience.
“He refused to speak to journalists and security would usher away VIP guests and the Press.
“He was being very precious and demanded his own VIP room before the event, where he held his own exclusive reception.
“The other guests were cut off. It was very clear that many guests were disappointed by this.”
Problem is, Al has let his compassionate greenie facade slip, as he is in actuality a ruling class fop with little patience for commoners, even those of elevated status such as Bob Geldof, Darryl Hannah and Jerry Hall.
Even some of the charities benefiting from the event were unhappy with the actions of 59-year-old Mr. Gore and his entourage, especially the way they treated invited guests.
Paul Hetherington, media relations manager for WaterAid, said: “Pictures couldn’t be taken and people were being moved out of the main hall so they couldn’t experience the event. It was very disruptive.
“We had to apologize to people who were invited. We wanted to say thank you for all the support that many people had given us, but some of them were asked to leave.
“Many guests were invited by the hosts, so why should the speaker have any control over these guests and removing the media? It defeated the object of trying to raise awareness of the cause.”
A source added: “Al had two people working for him: a woman who was his assistant and a male security officer who enrolled the help of security guards at The Royal Courts of Justice in a military-style operation to guard Al Gore. They took over the show.”
In fact, the elite long ago “took over the show,” and their “green compassion” is little more than Malthusianism recast. The Environmentalism is Fascism website explains:
The major eco-foundations (Mellon, Ford, and Rockefeller) were promoting population control and land conservation decades before there was an EPA, an Environment Canada, or a United Nations Population Fund. As well, the big, old money controlling the foundations profoundly influences the media, big business, and the politicians hence the support for environmentalism coming from corporations and governments traces back to the “oligarchy”. Moreover, the foundations have a freer hand than many of the other institutional actors within the environmental crusade and thus play a substantive leadership role within the movement. Without hyperbole it can be said these dynasties are at the center of an attempted socio-ideological engineering project profounder than the 4th century Roman conversion to Christianity and more massive than Mao’s 1960s “cultural revolution”.
Al Gore’s snake oil caravan is but the leading PR edge of the emerging control agenda funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Turner Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Mott Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, the Heinz Family Philanthropies — lorded over by Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of that other Skull and Bones presidential candidate — the Merck Family Foundation, and a handful of other dynasties who think you’re wrecking the planet, that is to say their planet.
Now that Gore has shown his real colors — and green is not in there — he will have to work extra hard to reestablish his cred. Of course, it will not be difficult, as the corporate media, owned by the ruling class, will do most of the work for him. NBC’s Katie Couric will be enlisted again and maybe he will be asked to reappear on Saturday Night Live. Or he’ll rub shoulders again with Harry Connick Jr. and Miss Piggy and Kermit.
One thing is for sure — the memory of the American people is remarkably short and most of them, as the conman Paper Collar Joe Bessimer once quipped, are suckers.
