Palin Won’t Rule Out Russia War
Sky News Friday, Sept 12, 2008
John McCain’s controversial running mate Sarah Palin says war with Russia may be necessary if it invades another country.
The 44-year-old mother-of-five was speaking in her first in-depth interview since being named as the Republican’s Vice-Presidential nominee.
The Alaskan governor was asked by ABC News’ anchor Charlie Gibson whether she had the necessary experience and ability for the job.
“I do, Charlie, and on January 20, when John McCain and I are sworn in, if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, we’ll be ready. I’m ready,” Mrs Palin said.
“I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can’t blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we’re on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can’t blink.”
The Democrats have questioned Mrs Palin’s foreign policy experience; she only applied for a passport last year.
