Bono is set to become an honourary knight of the British empire. The singer received the news on Saturday. He's scheduled to officially receive his knighthood from the British Ambassador to Ireland early in the New Year. However, as a citizen of Ireland, the new knight will not be allowed to be known as "Sir Bono" – that's an honour reserved for British citizens.
